Video upload not working

Hi,

I used to be able to work with a cif file with embedded res ins and hkl files. It was very easy because there was an specific tab under refinement. Now that tab is gone after I got the latest update. And if I try to refine I get an error saying 'please upload a res ot ins file to perform refinement'
Is there anyway to work with the cif file?

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

3. Getting a sticky

Topics can get stickied if they are very good ones. There are certain things that need to be fulfilled to get a sticky.

Your topic must be a mod collection or anything else that is useful.
Your topic must include download links for every single mod, not just one link for a whole mod pack.
Your topic must be unique (must include mods that were not already posted).
Your topic must be well written and have at least kind of proper grammar.
Your topic must look attractive.

How to take a screenshot?

The default key for taking a screenshot ingame is 12 so you press it and you'll find the screenshot in this path
To upload it I suggest you use Imgur, LightShot or Puush you can search in google for their links.

How to take a video?

To take a video you must use a program, If you have a Nvidia VGA card like me you can download their software just google "geforce experience" if you don't you can use one of these video recording program Fraps or bandicam you can search in google for their links as well.

To upload it go to youtube and register an account and follow their rules as well.

Account Recovery By Email
If you have set an email for your in game account, you can recover your forgotten username and/or password by yourself. Please try this before making a recovery topic.

When you join CIF there is a button called 'Forgotten Password?' like this:

Clicking on it will bring up a new GUI:

Put your email address in the first field and press 'Send Email'. Then check your email inbox for an email from CIT (might be in your spam folder).
Then go back in game and fill the code and account name in the GUI and choose a new password. Click 'OK' and your password has been changed.

Rules

1. Use the correct format.
2. Be honest in requests. [Ignoring this could lead to a warning/ban.]
3. Do not send a PM to staff members about open requests. [Ignoring this rule will lead to a warning.]
4. Do not make a request for a friend.
5. Do not make a request for an account you do not own. [Ignoring this rule will lead to a ban.]
6. Be patient when having a pending request.
7. If you keep losing your account your requests will no longer be accepted due to lack of effort in security.
8. Only post in this board if you need to recover your PIN / password / e-mail / money.
9. Provide as much information as possible. Lack of information may get your request rejected.
10. You cannot post an account retrieval request if you are not on the PC you usually play on / not on your personal computer.

Refunds

- Cash transfers: money that hacker sent from your account to another one
- Vehicles sales: money that the hacker stole after selling your vehicles
- Houses sales: money that the hacker stole after selling your houses (you won't get back your house)

Drugs, weapons and other random stuff WILL NOT be calculated. After all it's your fault if account has been stolen by someone else and we are doing our best to search logs to help you. Once you received your refund, stop asking for more money as you won't get anything else than the amount you already received. If you're insistent and keep requesting more money, previous refund will be deleted and you'll stay without anything. This is the first and last warning we give to you. Use your common sense.

Means, the money that the hacker sent from your account to another account will only be given to you. If the hacker sells your stuff, the account receives money and he will send the money to another account which we will remove from that account and re-add them to your account.

Issued Punishments Appealing System

This system was created to Appeal Punishments. If you think that you were unfairly punished, you can appeal it all here and if it turns out to actually be unfair (which will be determined by us), we will mention that staff in-order to remove that unfair punishment. Map Bugs Report

Guidelines to report map bugs

READ THIS WARNING

Reporting map bugs will have strict rules. To report a map bug you will have to open a new topic specifying the location of map bug (Example: Map bug report - Dillimore). Posting here and blatantly showing you didn't read ANYTHING about what's written in this topic will get you a 50% warning for both #1: posting dishonest information and #4: useless post.

Repeated ignorance of rules will result in a ban. Punishment will also come if you think to know more than our Map Editors while you don't know anything. Do not annoy our staff if they locked your report. Do not use an image to describe the coordinates, copy paste the coords from F8

Introduction

This section is where you will report map bugs you may find in the Server, whilst in the world of San Andreas, read to find out if the map bug you have found is worth reporting or not. If it is worth reporting, copy the format and post a new reply using the format. Coordinates are a must, you must always post the coordinates. Screenshots of the map bug location are nowhere near as helpful or useful, make our jobs easier and your report important by including this crucial piece of data.

The Description section is useful to describe the severity of the bug in the map, leaving it blank will reduce the chances of us assessing wether or not a map bug is very important, or not. Always include some description of the map bug, to help us and yourself in validating the importance of the map bug.

Steps to reproduce, like the description, is also important as there may be a method to getting into a bugged situation, mentioned in any map bug report, leaving it blank will reduce the chances of us being able to reproduce the map bug, and therefore likely invalidate it, this of course is bad if the map bug report is valid, but rejected due to lack of information. You should always include steps to reproduce, if said report requires a previous set of actions to find or otherwise. Summarize if needed.

The Map Editors

The map editors are in charge of maintaining and fixing errors, bugs, glitches and unwanted objects in the server. They are also responsible for mapping new areas and events (Car shows, Bank Robbery). Map editors who are active should resolve reports as quickly and effectively as possible, using the least amount of objects in the most appropriate way possible, to ensure that things are done effectively and adequately.

Notice to Map Editors: If you fix a bug, make sure you put '' Fixed '' in your post and lock the post in question. If the person reporting the bug has ignored the guidelines and rules posted below, feel free to delete posts (taking screenshots) and warning them for useless post. If a Map Editor is requested or asked to do something and they ignore said request, they will be warned for neglecting their duty. They will also be warned (or worse) if they behave stupidly fixing invalid bugs or similar conduct.

How to find, verify and report Map bug(s)

Finding a Map bug

No one looks for Map bugs, given they are not easy to find or that noticeable while playing normally. But the most common areas to find map bugs would be buildings, corners of buildings, walls or roofs etc. Sometimes you will find objects that will have lost collision or objects made by Map Editors with the same attributes. Some errors might be very noticeable and some might require a certain movement or action to find it.

Without looking or exaggerating, there will always be hundreds of '' Map bugs '' in the map, most, however, are tiny, trivial and not important.

Verifying a Map bug

To verify a Map bug, you must ask and do the following steps to assure yourself it is indeed a bug - and from then on, worth reporting.

+ Find the Map bug, the location of where it begins or starts
+ Do /getpos and save the coordinates somewhere (notepad etc)
+ Establish the following:

Does this only happen to me? - Check Map bug, if it's still there press ESCAPE > DISCONNECT > QUIT. Then re launch MTA SA. Is the bug still there?
Has this map bug been reported before? - Use '' Search '' function and check the forums | Have you checked these topics (1) and (2) ?
Can it be easily reached? - Can people reach it using a vehicle, jumping, climbing, falling, using other buildings or simply just walking to it?
Can it be accessed using animations or commands? - Do you need to use /afk , /animationhere , recovering a vehicle or similar commands?
Can it be accessed using the Jetpack? - Do people need to use the Jetpack to access the map bug?
Does the Map bug have solid surface to stand on? - Is there surface to stand on (flat ground, collision) inside this map bug?
Can it be abused or Exploited? - Can people hide inside (un/wanted, as a non/Hit, able to change team) | Can people hurt others from inside? | Can people be protected while inside but can hurt others who are outside?
How many people does it affect? - Is it in an isolated area nobody goes to? | Is it located in an area where hundreds of players go to?
Does it ruin other people's game play? - Does it stop others from being able to play normally? | Does it stop people from enjoying the game? | Does it limit players in any way? | Does it harm players?
Is this a strange / odd bug? - Trees in the sky? | Pieces of land in the sky? | Part of an old event that isn't fully removed?

+ When you have established how severe the bug is (common sense, basic thinking) you may proceed.

Reporting a Map bug

+ Get the coordinates you saved from notepad (above)
+ Take screenshots / videos of the location and the bug itself (contextually speaking)
+ Remembered how to reproduce it
+ Made sure it does not disappear after restarting client
+ Made sure it is abusable enough (but not so much so that you need to PM Map Editors privately)
+ Read the '' reminder '' and '' rules '' before finally reporting the bug

Rules of what you CAN'T report here

You cannot report Map bugs if they got fixed when you restarted MTA. (See 'IMPORTANT REMINDER' above)
You cannot report Map bugs if they have been reported and invalidated before.
You cannot report Map bugs if they are trivial, have no impact on anyone's gameplay or are so unimportant that no one notices.
You cannot confirm Map bugs, however trivial or serious they may be, that's why we have Map Editors.
You cannot report things if they are related to F11, Minimap, RadarDisc, Icons, Blips, Markers, Base tags or similar.

Suggestions - Scroll down for bugs!

This board is for suggestions about anything and everything. In-game ideas, forum, new services, everything.

Only reply to a suggestion if you have something that will bring value to it. Saying +1 -1 with your opinion is a useless post which is against rule 4.

1. Explain suggestions in plenty of detail, this includes bringing back old features, they must be explained as if they were new. Imagine you're explaining your idea to someone who knows very little about the game. ONLY SUGGEST FUN THINGS. ANY BORING SUGGESTIONS WILL BE REMOVED.

2. The subject/title of the topic must actually describe your feature such as "Payment changes to blah" not "About blah". If a player has to click on a topic to know what it's about that is basically click baiting (as well as wasting our time) to get more votes and these topics can be refused because of this.

3. Map changes/requests should be posted here in this topic

4. Changes to earnings or other variables that require balance such as damage output requires statistical evidence. EG: If you think mission X is under paid then you must prove that by doing mission Y and Z to show that at the same time playing you earned different amounts for different missions. This is to ensure that you are not suggesting something under or overpaid.

You do an explanation in 1 paragraph which should be between 2 and 5 lines long. Anything more must go in additional details. Then you must give at least one valid reason as to why this change should be made, it could be as simple as "This suggestion would bring fun to the game." if what you're suggesting is actually fun that is, because it seems most suggestions aren't any fun.

6. Suggestions must not be edited 1 hour after posting because for all we know you suggested something completely different to what you've now got in your suggestion and you might have edited it after getting up-votes and that is undemocratic.

7. If you want something that already exists changing, explain how it already works. For example, if you want a command moving to a button SAY WHAT THE COMMAND IS. If I don't know what the command is called then I have to manually search for the script and I won't waste my time because you didn't bother to add a little, but very important detail.

8. Do not post a suggestion about multiple things if those things are independent of each other. For example, if you suggest adding a gun shop, mod shop, tool shop to a place that is basically 3 suggestions in 1 topic because each shop does not require the other shop to be added, they are independent of each other and shouldn't be suggested together.

9. If you think a feature is getting exploited then you have to prove it with a videos/screenshots, if you don't show us proof your suggestion will be locked. Example: "Disable Sea Sparrow's outside AR" (You must prove it, that it is very very hard for criminals to survive against Sea Sparrow), like that.

10. Suggestions must have at least 5 upvotes in 1 day, 15 up-votes in 1 week and 50 upvotes in 1 month. Bug reports must have at least 5 upvotes in 1 week. Due to the large size of the player base, a suggestion must have at least 50 up-votes before it can be added. Suggestions older than 1 month without 50 up-votes will be closed. If a bug report reaches 5 up-votes a staff c can move it to the staff only board called 'Issues Requiring Attention'.

11. If a suggestion follows the guidelines and is less than 24 hours old nobody is allowed to lock it, even if it's "bring back binds". Every suggestion should have a chance to receive up-votes. It can then only be locked after 24 hours if it has less than 5 up-votes.

12. The only way for a suggestion (which follows the other rules) that has received over 50 up-votes can be refused is if a reply to that topic which opposes the change receives over 15 up-votes or the Lead Developer refuses it.

13. If X suggestion gets denied in the last 1 month, then you cannot suggest it again. But if you think, the previous suggestion got denied because of original poster's poor explanation and you can explain the suggestion from a different angle, then suggest it.

14. Do not make suggestions about VIP or shaders. It's up to respective shops holders to change VIP/shaders systems, NOT the community. Example of suggestions that will get you warned: "Make VIP hours go down slower while AFK/offline", "Be able to stop VIP hours from running out" or "Make shaders be usable by whitelisted players".

15. You can only post a suggestion for yourself. What the hell is the point in restricting posting in this board to prevent spam when you're just going to post quotes for peoples ideas that DON'T HAVE ACCESS.

Bugs

How to report a bug here?

There is no required format, just make sure to explain the bug in as much detail as possible (videos / screenshots showing the bug help) to ensure that developers can understand what the bug is so that they can fix it. To show people that the topic is about a bug, start of the topic title with "[Bug]" if players feel that fixing the bug is a waste of time because it's so trivial and doesn't actually annoy anyone (if it's not annoying then it's not really a bug) then they can down-vote it. Whether or not it gets fixed is down to a developer though, if they feel that it's actually worth fixing. Bug reports must get at least 10 up-votes within 1 week to get fixed. Even if a bug report gets enough up-votes if it is a complete waste of time to fix it, I won't.

CIF bases
CIF groups that managed to own a board for 1 month can request addition of a huge CIF zone to build their own base. This type of base is dynamic and would allow groups to change its structure every time they want to. CIF offers infinite possibilities to make new buildings and new structures. Group Features fixes

This page is made to add all those missing features that some groups didn't receive because they either forgot to request them or I forgot to add them. I'll make a list of stuff every group should have by default or after a certain time.

Vehicle respawn colsphere - Every group that received their interior, can request this special feature that allows their non-VIP members to recover their cars near the interior.
Groups or squad info markers - Well, sometimes I forget to add them when I'm in a rush. So request them if you don't have an info marker near your place.
Tag Protection - This is one of the most forgotten features for groups. If you have a board, then you have the right to protect your tag. ONLY ONE TAG IS ACCEPTED.
Map name/blip - When your group owns base/interior, you get the blip in map as your group name, to change its text/color, fill the format below.
General base bugs - If something isn't already listed above, then tell me what's missing.

Group Interiors

Groups can request and obtain interiors everywhere. Interiors will be counted as bases, they will be restricted to owner group and will have access for whitelisted players. You'll be able to decide if your interior can be restricted to group only or open to everyone. Objects limit is 75 so you're sure to map a decent interior. Nobody will be affected from that amount of objects as everything will be put away from main dimension, inside a GTA interior so group won't be affected as well. You may put up to 10 objects around teleport marker outside to make it more close, remember to separate them from interior objects. In order to separate outside from inside, it'd be better if you put them into 2 map files.

This is highly profitable for those groups who stay in LS during most of their playtime. You can build interiors like Bikers bar or ILC hideout or simply choose one of those default GTA interiors, it's up to you. Price will be 10 millions. To make an application, open a new topic and put as title "Interior application - Groupname"

Group interior will be treated as base from the same moment you'll request it, this gives you ability to have health and armor pickups inside and car spawners outside.

Requirements and rules:
Group must have had sub-board for 1 month;
Group must have the minimum members requirement to own a board, no members requirement if your group is known as civilian group;
No mentally challenged behavior;
Maximum 75 mapped objects;
Interior warp can be everywhere: LS, SF or LV;

Group Features

Every group has the ability to improve and get privileges with time. They get base or interior and then they can add stuff inside it and create a safe heaven for their members. Everything is based on the total time you've had a board. Only leaders can request these perks, because in the past, morons fucked up groups and stuff without consent of anyone.

Base/Interior Peds
Groups/squads that own an interior/base inside LS/SF can request some ped bots to hang around their place. Peds can do an animation, stand still, hold weapons and possibly interact with players. You can apply your own group/squad shader to peds. A single ped will cost 10.000.000$. Weapons are free but you can't request over powered weps like MG, Country and Sniper rifles. A group can request maximum 5 peds for their base. Procedure to get peds position is simple, you basically have to replicate what will your ped do. You'll have to choose a skin, hold the weapon you chose and do an animation from the ingame panel. Easy steps. Once you've done all of that, take a SS and /getpos

Health Pickup
Groups can request a health pickup to put near/inside their base/interior. It'll give you full health everytime by pressing "n". To get this pickup you must have had your board for at least 2 months. Car spawner
Groups that have had board for at least 4 months, can get free transporation vehicles to spawn inside base or near their interior. This will provide better ways to travel and move together as group. Groups that achieve this advantage will be considered as "Semi-Official". Groups may request any cars available in car-shops except Advanced Hummer with a max number of 6. If group is civilian you can also request maximum 2 aircrafts (both helicopters and planes) and 1 boat. Every vehicle costs 10.000.000$. You must put IDs of vehicles you request, find them here.

Official groups may request up to 12 vehicles. Special vehicles such as Infernus, armored vehicles (Excluding Advanced Hummer), armed vehicles and fast vehicles will cost 10.000.000$ each.

Group skin Shader
Groups can request ONE skin shader for 25.000.000$ if they have had board for at least 5 months. Every skin available in CIT can be shaded. Look at this topic to gather more informations. Obviously to create a shader, you must know basics of game modding. There are plenty tutorials around net and here in CITforum as well. Use the format below to request your upgrade, reply to this topic and once you receive it, pay and post evidence here.

Base static vehicles
Groups can request up to 5 vehicles in their own base/interior. Those vehicles are client-sided and frozen so they can't to be moved. Groups can choose whether or not to add wheels upgrades or shaders to those vehicles.

In short all you have to use is /getvehpos or /getvehpos color. 'Color' argument detects the vehicle color and outputs it in the table line otherwise color will be random. Command automatically detects shders or wheel upgrades. Output lines are automatically saved in your clipboard so you'll have to CTRL+V them into here in the format.

You need to use the command /getvehpos only once per vehicle. If you fail do "/getvehpos reset" and start from 0. Once you're done paste the whole thing in 1 request.

Title of this board pretty much explains what this board is for.

I've seen numerous examples of people writing the usual "Welcome, looking forward to seeing you in game" to people who left CIF months ago, obviously with intent to increase post count. Don't bother anymore, your post count will not increase here. You WILL get warned for spamming the same message in various topics though. Also please refrain from posting on very old topics, as that's counted as post whoring.

I have made a few rules to keep this board clean and good-looking:
1. Do not add polls, never do that.
2. Do not mention any name of any other server than the CIF servers.
3. If you don't know how to introduce yourself, don't try to. Your introduction should consist of at least one paragraph with no less than 40 words.
